In your remaining school year, you will learn how to get scheduling a project study, estimate building materials, and update structural concrete design, passing pre-board.

But building and leading a team of people is way more challenging.

You might be more comfortable handling all the issues that come with a group project, and you can probably do a better job than the folks who defend your project study. So you may be guilty of stepping in when things go slightly wrong with groupmates. 

You delegate a task on a Monday to a direct report, commit to following up on Friday, but you feel compelled to check in on Wednesday. Your direct information gets blindsided, aren’t ready to have the conversation. You lose trust in them, and they lose confidence.

Trust and confidence are not the only things that take a hit. As you get stuck micromanaging, you get stretched thin trying to fix everyone’s problems. You determine just to work harder, which works for a while, but eventually, you start to burn out, and your performance suffers.

The only way you can stop this is to understand that the role of a leader is to develop others who can get things done and be there for your team to support and encourage them. That's why you need leadership mindsets.
